Amadeus has made its B2B Wallet virtual card payment
service available to its U.S.-based travel agency clients. They now can pay for
flights, lodging, car rental and rail with a MasterCard virtual card powered by
U.S. Bank. Clients can choose a credit line or a pre-funded product, said Chiara
Quaia, head of business development for Amadeus Travel Payments business unit. The
partnership allows U.S. Bank to expand its reach with travel agencies, said
Nicole Tackett, U.S. Bank corporate payment systems head of strategy, specialty
verticals and partnerships. To serve Europe, Amadeus launched an AirPlus virtual
card with a credit line in 2013. In early 2016, Amadeus expanded the European virtual
card program to include other providers.
