U.S. Customs and Border Protection this month is piloting a mobile platform for passport control and customs declaration at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Eligible travelers arriving at the airport can submit their passport information and customs declaration via an app for iPhone and iPad and will receive a digital bar-coded receipt to be scanned by customs officers. CBP plans to expand the program to other airports later this year and offer the apps on the Android platform.
