The number of international premium airline passengers last year rose 4.2 percent from 2012 levels,
according to the International Air Transport Association. The rate was slightly behind the 2012 year-over-year increase of 4.8 percent, but IATA noted that "growth has picked up over recent months, reflecting improvements in the business environment." For December 2013, premium passengers were up 5.5 percent year over year.
