Transportation
The Transportation Security Administration announced that it is removing certain items from the banned list for carry-on baggage.
Effective April 25, airline passengers will be permitted to travel with small, non-locking knives, novelty-sized and toy bats, billiard cues, ski poles, hockey sticks, lacrosse sticks and two golf clubs. According to TSA, the intent is to "align more closely with International Civil Aviation Organization standards." According to a TSA spokesperson, "with all of the layers of risk-based security, we felt these small knives would not contribute to a catastrophic event on board the airplane."
