The carrier will use slots recently
relinquished as a
condition of the American Airlines-US Airways merger. Southwest next summer
also will launch new nonstop services between San Diego and Seattle, New
Orleans, Orlando and Portland, Ore. The airline next year also will bulk up its
Portland, Ore., network with services to Baltimore Washington International,
Chicago Midway and Houston Hobby.
