Australia's Qantas Airways soon will begin using The Prism Group's system for tracking and managing corporate contracts, according to Australian newsletter Travel Daily and confirmed by Prism officials. Qantas reportedly will call its version of the system Qantas Deal Manager and plans to implement it in the coming months.
Prism officials were not available to provide details, but indicated additional airline announcements would be forthcoming.
Albuquerque, N.M.-based Prism already powers corporate travel data aggregation and decision-support software to American Airlines, a Qantas ally in the Oneworld alliance
(BTN, Aug. 15). It also serves Air France, which this summer joined several partners in using the system
(BTNonline, Aug. 30), including Continental, Delta, KLM Royal Dutch and Northwest airlines. Prism also provides similar systems to United Airlines and its Star Alliance partner SAS.
