NBTA Predicts Minimal Rise In Biz Travel Costs
Business travel costs are predicted to rise only 3 percent in 2002, according to the National Business Travel Association's 2002 Business Travel Cost Forecast, published today. The 3 percent rise was forecast to bring business airfares to an average $1,102, corporate hotel rates to $197 and business meal costs to $25. Corporate car rental rates are projected to rise 5 percent, to $66. Naturally, stagnant demand and reduced corporate travel spending has dragged numbers down across the board.
