NBTA Partners W/ Purchasing Mgmt. Organization

The National Business Travel Association today announced a new partnership with the Institute for Supply Management--formerly the National Association of Purchasing Managers--so members can use both organizations for professional support. The partnership will link NBTA Direct members to benefits enjoyed by ISM members and vice versa.

The move is part of NBTA's larger goal to build "partnerships with other corporate functions that share our goal to protect corporations' bottom lines," NBTA president Kevin Iwamoto said. The association also seeks to build a better understanding among practitioners of between the two professions. "We still have far to go in explaining the intricacies of travel management to our procurement colleagues," said Iwamoto.
