Travel buyers continue to see increases in their total compensation packages, according to a National Business Travel Association Foundation survey of 232 travel buyer respondents released today.
The 2007 Travel Management Compensation and Benefits Survey found that total compensation, including salaries and bonuses, increased 3.3 percent to $91,059. Those findings are similar to what
Business Travel News found in its survey of 289 travel buyers' salaries and attitudes published earlier this year in which respondents reported an average overall pay package of $92,494
(BTN,July 23).
In addition to salary results, respondents reported that they receive an average of 26 paid days off annually, including 17 vacation days. Eighty percent of respondents reported that their employer offers all major types of insurance including health, dental and disability.
