Andrew Menkes has vacated the post he recently assumed as president of HRG Consulting North America for that of senior vice president of sales for the Americas at Eos Airlines, the Purchase, N.Y.-based carrier today announced. Menkes now reports to Toby Joseph, executive vice president of global sales at Eos and former head of sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa for TQ3 Travel Solutions.
"We are very pleased to have Andy join Eos during our time of growth and expansion for the airline," Joseph said in a statement. "With our new expanded schedule and recent 62 percent increase in forward bookings for September versus the last 90-day average, Andy's career depth and experience will be a key asset as we take Eos to the next stage of our business development plan."
Just six months ago, Menkes—a former independent consultant based in Princeton, N.J. —sold his business to HRG and signed on as president of the travel management company's newly created consulting unit
(BTNonline, April 6). Menkes at the time said he accepted HRG's offer based on the TMC's intention to invest in research capabilities.
HRG further invested in its consulting arm late last month when it bought U.K.-based consulting firm Ian Flint & Associates and named founder Ian Flint as head of its global consulting operations
(BTNonline, Aug. 30).
