Hilton Standardizes Tech Platform
Hilton Hotels Corp. today announced the launch of a common technology platform that will integrate reservations, the front desk, the loyalty program and the company's branded Internet sites, ensuring that travelers get consistent real-time availability and pricing across all Hilton brands.
"Over 90 percent of our 2,100 hotels are connected to the new system now, with the remaining 10 percent expected to come online by year-end," said Tom Keltner, president of brand performance and franchise development.
As multi-brand hotel companies grew through mergers and acquisitions, the lack of a common platform has been a stumbling block for buyers eager to obtain accurate data for reporting purposes.
