according to FlightStats. On average, North American airlines delivered 75.8 percent of their flights to the gate within 15 minutes of schedule. Among the eight largest U.S.-based carriers, excluding regional partners, Alaska (83.7 percent), Virgin America (81.2 percent), US Airways (78 percent) and United (76 percent) posted above-average on-time ratings. American (73.2 percent), Southwest (71.5 percent) and JetBlue (67.1 percent) posted below-average ratings, according to FlightStats.
