Buyers Deem Reporting, Tech Tools Central To Travel Programs
According to a GE Corporate Payment Services survey of 77 travel managers released today, reporting and technology capabilities rank as the most important aspect of a corporate travel program and the foremost determinant for selecting a card provider. Self-service tools for administrators and cardholders rank as the second and third most important aspects of a travel program, respectively.
Twenty-five percent of respondents said the online access capabilities of their reporting tool worked well, while 33 percent said ad-hoc reports and the accuracy and timeliness of data in reports needed improvement.
The travel managers who were surveyed represent companies with card programs from nine different issuers and have an annual travel spend ranging from less than $5 million to more than $50 million.
