American Airlines next month will expand sales support center operations for U.S. and Canadian customers to offer 24/7 live agent support,

according to a letter sent by vice president of global sales Derek DeCross to travel agencies this week. The carrier currently has support centers in 16 cities worldwide, including Chicago, London, New York, São Paulo and Tokyo. The live agent support will be in addition to the 24/7 online support already offered through SalesLink, according to DeCross.
