American Airlines fully will align fare codes with US Airways on Jan. 17, but the changes will not affect contracted corporate discounts,
the carrier announced this week. As AA aligns its inventory, corporate contracts will get an addendum to move current discounts into their corresponding new fare classes, but "discount levels … will remain the same as those in your current contract," according to the carrier. The alignment also nominally will affect first-class service on US Airways flights between the United States and other countries in North America. Under the new codes, they now will be considered business-class fares, though the services offered will be unchanged, according to AA.
