according to FlightStats. Overall in October, carriers in North America on average got 80.9 percent of their flights to the gate within 15 minutes of their scheduled arrival time. Among the eight largest U.S.-based carriers, excluding regional partners, Delta (85.2 percent), JetBlue (84.6 percent), Virgin America (84 percent), Southwest (81.7 percent) and US Airways (81.2 percent) posted above-average on-time performances. United (76.1 percent) and American (74.3 percent) posted below-average performances, according to FlightStats.
