Air Canada and Air China developed a revenue-sharing joint-venture agreement, which they expect to have fully in place by the end of 2015.
The agreement, pending regulatory approval, would enable sales, marketing and operational cooperation between the two carriers and would "generate additional service and pricing benefits for consumers traveling between the two countries," according to Air Canada. Both Air Canada and Air China are Star Alliance members and currently offer codeshare flights for travel from Vancouver and Beijing to six cities in their respective countries.
