David Ballard
Meetings management platform Groupize has appointed former SAP Concur executive David Ballard as senior vice president of sales, the company announced on Wednesday.
Ballard held several management roles at SAP Concur during a tenure of more than 12 years. Most recently, he served as SVP and global head of customer success and led a 250-person team responsible for $1.3 billion in revenue.
At Groupize, Ballard will lead the company's sales organisation, focusing on enterprise customers. He will also be tasked with driving adoption of its agentic AI tools, known as 'AIME'—AI for meetings and events.
In August, Groupize and Concur announced an enhanced integration that enables their respective AI agents—SAP's Joule AI solution and Groupize's AIME—to "orchestrate behind the scenes" to generate room block proposals for meetings.
In an earlier interview with BTN, Groupize founder and chief commercial officer Charles de Gaspe Beaubien said the agent-to-agent integration with Concur "provides customers with a unified experience while allowing each platform to focus on its respective strengths."
