Travel management company Reed & Mackay has teamed up with carbon planning platform Clarasight to provide emissions benchmarking for joint clients of the companies, they announced.
The partnership builds on Reed & Mackay's collaboration with Squake, in which the TMC integrated carbon reporting into its platform and ultimately let travelers see sustainable choices throughout the booking processand clients set up customized policies within their approval flows. Working with Clarasight, Reed & Mackay now can combine data from across its legal, insurance, finance and professional services sectors for insights, according to the company.
That will include a travel and emissions benchmarking solution in which clients can compare their activity, spending and emissions at a company and city-pair level against peers and their industry, Reed & Mackay said.
"This is an exciting collaboration because it allows us to leverage our existing CO2 data and reporting capabilities to provide a platform for our customers with access to highly strategic guidance for more enhanced, forward-looking sustainable travel programs," Reed & Mackay global sustainability director Chris Truss said in a statement.
Reed & Mackay and Clarasight said they also will use the data to create "analyses and thought pieces to the wider industry." They plan to release the first of those this month.
