Furnished Quarters will launch a new website with real-time
booking capabilities, powered by Furnished Quarters' new apartment inventory
management system, and a customer app that enables guests to access information
and resources post booking, such as reservation modification, arrival
information, housekeeping schedules and service requests. "As our clients'
needs change, we're growing and changing and implementing things to go along
with it," said Furnished Quarters senior corporate sales manager Maria
Sorrentino.
The changes come as the temporary furnished housing provider
expands its in-house technology team with two new full-time employees. Cory
Haber, whom Furnished Quarters brought on board as director of technology last
year, will lead the team as VP of technology. Sorrentino said the
company has been able to build out its tech capabilities since Haber joined and
that continuing its investment will lead to greater efficiencies for both
Furnished Quarters and its clients.
The company has also been expanding its sales team and its
reach, both domestically and internationally. Most recently, Furnished Quarters
in January opened a San Francisco office and has been rapidly building out its
portfolio in Northern California throughout the spring and summer. Like others
in the furnished housing and serviced apartment industry, the company has
benefited from the growth of Airbnb, which has helped raise
awareness and preference for home and apartment rentals in the
travel vertical.
Furnished Quarters currently offers more than 100,000
furnished apartments in more than 800 cities globally.
