American Express Global Business Travel officially appointed director of global supplier relationships for the EMEA region Julie Avenel as VP of its global business consulting division.
For several months, Avenel had been interim VP of the division. She officially replaces Joakim Johansson in the role, who recently was appointed VP of business planning in the office of the CEO. Avenel will report to report to Amex GBT chief commercial officer Drew Crawley.
Based in France, Avenel has been with GBT for more than nine years. Prior to joining GBT, her previous roles included working as a business analyst at The Boston Consulting Group and a market research analyst at Accor Hospitality.
