American Express Global Business Travel has developed a platform tailored to manage travel for energy, mining and marine clients, the company announced.
The Crew and Group Logistics Platform includes high-speed processing capabilities, able to process up to 10 bookings per minute, to manage the high-volume travel need of clients in that vertical, according to Amex GBT. It also includes flexible booking options, with automated bookings via integration with a client's workflow system or the option to let travelers choose their own itinerary options.
"We have been testing and building this purpose-built technology with input and feedback from our clients to address the unique operational intricacies of these industries offering multiple booking options that fit their individual requirements," Swapna Nair, Amex GBT head of energy, mining and marine, said in a statement.
While developed for the EMM segment, it also is effective for clients in media and production, technology and consulting as well as crisis response, according to Amex GBT.
