Amadeus is partnering to distribute through its booking channels Vienna-based Covid-19 testing and certification platform provider TestFrwd's self-testing solution.
TestFrwd operates the IdentyMe digital certification and verification app, with which users can buy compatible home-testing kits and, because users are identified by biometric data and artificial intelligence, use them without the involvement of medical staff. With the Amadeus partnership, TestFrwd will make the kits and related information available to travelers at the point of sale while booking flights, train trips and ferry crossings on the Amadeus platform.
IdentyMe is available in 26 European Union member states, and testing kits compatible with the tool have been certified both for the EU’s and the U.K.’s travel testing systems, according to TestFrwd. The company earlier this month also announced its first entry into the United States.
