Hyatt Hotels Corp. will introduce its new Hyatt Studios brand to China under the terms of a new partnership with a developer to open 50 properties of the upper-midscale extended-stay brand, the company announced Wednesday.
China's Homeinns Hotel Group will open the properties "during the next several years" and will "develop a robust pipeline to drive future growth across China," Hyatt said in a statement.
The companies didn't identify any future Hyatt Studios locations in China, but Owen Xing, Hyatt executive managing director of growth and operations for Greater China, in a statement said the hotels would be bult "in first and second tier cities across China."
The deal "underscores Hyatt's commitment to scaling our brands thoughtfully in China, a cornerstone market for our global growth," Xing said.
Announced in 2023, Hyatt Studios launched in April 2025 in Tillmans Corner, Ala., outside of Mobile. Hyatt plans to open a second Hyatt Studios in December in Huntsville, Ala., with additional openings planned in Jacksonville, Fla., Harrisonburg, Va., and Laredo, Texas.
The Alabama Hyatt Studios property offers 122 rooms, a 24-7 market and electric vehicle charging stations.
Hyatt Studios is Hyatt's second extended-stay brand, joining Hyatt House.
