Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ development pipeline numbers
almost 500 properties, with 60 percent new-construction, the company announced
today. The pipeline comprises 49 properties in Asia and another 190 in markets
outside North America. Best Western intends to grow its inventory in Asia by 40
percent during the next few years. It currently operates 107 properties in the
region. Upper-midscale and midscale boutique brands, Vib and Glo, as well as upscale
soft brand BW Premier Collection, will lead development in Asian markets,
including in Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos and Singapore.
