Best Western parent BWH Hotels has named former Sonder Holdings and Choice Hotels International executive Chad Fletcher as its new SVP of worldwide sales, effective immediately.
Fletcher will report to BWH president and CEO Larry Cuculic and "will oversee the company’s global sales organization, including business, group and leisure travel as well as hotel sales support," according to the company.
Fletcher most recently served as VP of global sales at apartment-style accommodations provider Sonder, a role he assumed in 2023. Before that, he spent about five years as Choice's VP of global sales and eight years with Avis Budget Group, including a stint as VP of sales for North America.
Cuculic in a statement said Fletcher's "experience transforming global sales organizations and his deep understanding of both the business traveler and hotel owner perspectives make him uniquely positioned to drive value across our portfolio."
Former BWH VP of worldwide sales Wendy Ferrell departed the company in July, according to her LinkedIn profile. Sonder did not immediately return a request for clarification as to who would replace Fletcher.
In addition to Best Western, BWH also includes the WorldHotels and SureStay brands.
