Talma Travel Solutions is continuing its acquisition streak in landing Greater Toronto-based Plus Travel Group, the travel management company's first move into the Canadian market.
Talma said the acquisition, the terms of which were not disclosed, gives it local expertise in Canada while making its global reach and resources available to Plus Travel Group clients. Plus Travel Group CEO Jeffrey Verman remains at the helm of the Canadian TMC.
"Our partnership with Talma Travel Solutions marks an exciting new chapter for our team and our clients," Verman said in a statement. "It strengthens our global reach, enhances our collective buying power and expands the solutions and resources we can offer while creating new opportunities for continued growth."
Talma has been growing its presence in North America, having taken a majority stake in Miami-based Brickell Travel Management in early 2023 and, via that subsidiary, acquiring a controlling interest in Solutions Travel earlier this year. The TMC has been expanding in the U.K. as well, with acquisitions of Norad Travel Group and Blue Cube in recent years.
"Over the past four years, we have made a series of strategic investments and acquisitions across travel services and technology, building a stronger global platform and positioning Talma to set a new standard for the customer experience," Talma Travel Solutions CEO Iya Magen said in a statement. "Plus Travel Group shares our commitment to exceptional client service, proactive account management, and innovative technology."
The TMC said it plans to announce additional acquisitions in the coming months.
