Despite Hua Hin included in the name of this coastal resort, SO Sofitel is some way north of Hua Hin township (20 miles). This means the resort is just 108 miles from Bangkok, shaving at least 30 minutes off a trip from the capital. This becomes meaningful on a busy holiday weekend when the traffic can be quite heavy.
