Worldwide hotel bookings through global distribution systems in January increased by 1 percent year over year,
according to Pegasus
Solutions. The average daily rate on those bookings was 2.9 percent higher than
January 2013 levels. Pegasus projects that GDS bookings through May will
outpace last year by more than 4 percent, potentially by more than 9 percent.
