The pace of group bookings at North American hotels has stalled, according to TravelClick's North American Hospitality Review.
Hotel room blocks for events and conventions committed for the current quarter through the third quarter of 2013 are down 0.1 percent compared with a year prior, and the average daily rate on those rooms is up 1.6 percent. It marks the first time in 18 months that such room-night commitments have shown a decline, according to TravelClick executive vice president of enterprise research and development Tim Hart.
