In North America, ADR increased 4.1 percent to $136.69, including a 3.9 percent increase at full-service brands and a 3.8 percent increase at limited-service brands. ADR during the quarter was up slightly in the Asia/Pacific (1.3 percent) and Caribbean/Latin America (1.1 percent) regions but down slightly in Europe (down 0.7 percent) and the Middle East/Africa region (down 1.8 percent). Net income for the quarter was $179 million, up from $143 million in the second quarter of 2012.
