The average daily rate at Hyatt Hotels Corp. increased by 1.7 percent year over year to $169.89 globally during the third quarter,

the company announced on Wednesday. In the Americas, ADR at full-service hotels increased by 3.9 percent to $175.40, and ADR at select-service hotels increased by 3.8 percent to $108.99. Occupancy at full-service hotels in the Americas was up 2.5 percentage points to 78.4 percent, and select-service occupancy in the Americas increased by 0.5 percentage points to 79.2 percent. ADR decreased at full-service hotels in the Asia/Pacific region (down 4.5 percent to $219.25) and in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Southwest Asia (down 2.4 percent to $222.61), although occupancy was up in both regions. Net income for the quarter was $55 million, up from $23 million in the third quarter of 2012.
