The average daily rate at Choice Hotels International properties increased by 0.4 percent year over year to $73.73 during the fourth quarter of 2013,

the company reported on Tuesday. ADR during the quarter was up across all brands except Econo Lodge, Clarion and Suburban Extended Stay Hotel. Companywide fourth-quarter occupancy increased by half a percentage point to 55.9 percent. Choice's net income for the quarter was $27.3 million, up 12 percent from the prior year.
