The 2011 average daily rate across Leading Hotels of the World's independent luxury hotels was $498,
up 16 percent from 2010. Total revenue for those hotels jumped about 19 percent, with such markets as the United States, Italy, France and Switzerland posting revenue growth "as high as 23 percent," according to the consortium of resorts, spas and luxury properties. The 2011 figures cover the 391 properties that were members throughout the year. Leading Hotels now claims 430 members.
