2014. PKF's latest 2013 ADR forecast matches a
PricewaterhouseCoopers forecast
released last week, though PKF's 2014 projections are more bullish. While PKF
Hospitality Research president Mark Woodworth said that he has "no
concerns about the near-term outlook for the U.S. lodging industry," the
report also noted that a slow recovery in group demand is "mitigating the
leverage of hotel sales managers when negotiating with meeting planners and
corporate accounts." Certain markets also will see muted ADR growth in
2013 and 2014, including Kansas City, San Diego, Tucson, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque,
Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., according to the report.
