North American hotel room nights booked through global distribution system channels during the fourth quarter of 2013 increased by 5.3 percent compared with the prior year,
according to TravelClick data. The average daily rate on those bookings was up 2.6 percent. TravelClick also noted that ADR for GDS hotel bookings in the first quarter of 2014 is tracking 4.9 percent higher than in the first quarter of 2013.
