Marriott International announced that it is courting developers to bring to the Americas its upper midprice AC Hotels brand.
Acquired by Marriott as part of a joint venture in 2011, AC Hotels currently consists of 79 hotels in Spain, Portugal, Italy and France. According to Brian King, a company global brand officer, the expansion into the Americas is designed to attract "younger business travelers who make three or more business trips a year."
