Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants redesigned its loyalty program to reward "brand engagement" in addition to guest stays,
the company announced Wednesday. Called Kimpton Karma Rewards, the program still gives guests credits during hotel stays that can be redeemed for free nights, but travelers now also gain credit via such activities as booking directly on the Kimpton website, attending a wine hour or mentioning a property on social media. Free wireless Internet remains a benefit for program members who sign up.
