Investment firm Starwood Capital Group acquired U.K.-based hotel and conference center operator De Vere Venues for about $385 million,
the firm announced on Tuesday. De Vere's portfolio includes 23 hotels with more than 2,400 rooms, 374 meeting rooms and 414,000 square feet of meeting space, serving "a number of long-term, blue-chip corporate customers," according to Starwood Capital senior vice president Kevin Colket. Among the properties in the De Vere portfolio are the Horsely Park, Latimer Place, Wokefield Park and Theobalds Park properties near London.
