InterContinental Hotels Group's average daily rate during the fourth quarter of 2013 increased by 1.8 percent year over year,

the company reported on Tuesday. ADR was up 1.8 percent in the Americas, 1.1 percent in Europe and 3.9 percent in the Asia, the Middle East and Africa region. ADR in Greater China declined by 2.4 percent during the quarter. Global occupancy increased by 1.6 percentage points during the quarter and was up across all regions. For the full year, IHG's operating profit was $668 million, up from $605 million in 2012.
