Lodging
The U.S. General Services Administration increased the standard lodging per diem rate for the 2014 fiscal year to $83, up from $77.
The standard meal and incidental allowance is unchanged at $46. GSA also updated many per diem rates for approximately 400 non-standard markets—including most major cities—where rates are higher than the standard rate. GSA reassigned the standard rate to 29 markets previously considered non-standard, including Montgomery, Ala.; Yuma, Ariz.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Jefferson City, Mo.; Biloxi, Miss.; and Beaumont, Texas. Meanwhile, Big Spring, Texas, and Pearsall, Texas moved into the non-standard category. The new per diem rates take effect Oct. 1.
