Advance corporate transient hotel bookings in North America are trending higher this year than at the same time last year,
and group bookings also are beginning to rebound, according to TravelClick. As of early December, corporate transient bookings for the next 12 months were 9.4 percent higher than the year prior, and the average daily rate for those bookings was up 6.7 percent. Group demand is up 2.2 percent, though TravelClick executive vice president for enterprise research and development Tim Hart noted that hotels "may be incentivizing group bookings by keeping average daily rate relatively flat."
