Riskline has launched a new map to help travel managers monitor screening requirements and travel restrictions related to the current Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda, the company announced.
The map highlights regions affected by the outbreak as well as quarantine rules and global entry bans, so users can assess transit risk across international hubs, according to Riskline. Over the past month, Riskline said it has issued 166 alerts related to the outbreak, including 93 countries with health screening measures.
"It's important for travelers to be aware that they might encounter enhanced health screening when entering a country, as these measures could lead to delays, missed connections and potential secondary holds, even for travelers with no formal ban or quarantine to worry about," Riskline travel team lead Lorena Peña said in a statement.
Riskline added that 22 countries, as of Monday, have implemented such measures as entry bans and quarantine requirements, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Bahrain.
