United Airlines this winter will expand service to Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin American, with eight new routes and expanded service on 19 other routes.
New service will include five new routes starting in December: between Los Angeles and both San Jose, Costa Rica, and San Pedro Sula, Honduras; between Denver and both Belize City, Belize, and San Jose, Costa Rica; and between Washington Dulles and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. United will add two new routes in January—between Liberia, Costa Rica, and both Los Angeles and San Francisco—as well restart service between Cleveland and Cancun, Mexico. New routes are subject to regulatory approval.
Increased service in the winter includes more flights on seven routes to Mexican beach destinations and increased service to San Salvador, El Salvador and Guatemala City, Guatemala.
