Singapore Airlines and its regional carrier SilkAir are piloting an online portal to manage pre-flight Covid-19 testing, the carrier announced.
Via partner Collinson, which already is doing testing programs at several airports including London Heathrow, the carriers are offering pre-departure testing for passengers departing Singapore, Jakarta and Medan, Indonesia. An online portal shows travelers a list of acceptable testing facilities where they make an appointment, and after the test, the results come through the portal in the form of a QR code, which they can use for verification once at the airport.
Singapore Airlines plans to expand the service to additional cities over the next few month if the pilot program is successful.
