FAA Gives Safety Approval to Kenyan Aviation Authority

The FAA has granted Kenya a Category 1 safety rating, opening the door for Kenyan air carriers to establish U.S. service and codeshare with U.S. carriers. The rating indicates that Kenya's Directorate General of Civil Aviation meets the U.N. International Civil Aviation Organization's standards. The U.S. previously did not assess whether Kenya met the standards.
