American Airlines' domestic schedule reduction for April stands at 30 percent, with plans for deeper cuts in May, president Robert Isom said in a Thursday letter to employees. Combined with the 75 percent cut in international flying for April, American has cut more than 55,000 flights for its April schedule and will be parking about 130 widebody aircraft and 320 narrowbody aircraft. "While these steps are unparalleled in our history, we expect demand to fall even more before it gets better," Isom said. "More network reductions are being worked in real time as we see bookings decline."
