Aeromexico is increasing operations by 20 percent, representing about 1,200 additional flights, in August compared with July.
The August schedule will include a resumption of service between Mexico City and each Las Vegas, Denver, San Francisco and Quito, Ecuador. Aeromexico also is increasing frequencies between Mexico City and Miami, Paris and São Paulo as well as domestic routes from the capital, including Cancun, Merida, Durango, Los Mochis, Chihuahua and Culiacan. In total, the carrier plans about 7,400 flights for the month of August.
The growth comes as Aeromexico restructures under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, which CEO Andrés Conesa last month said would not affect operations.
