New Distribution Capability aggregator AirGateway is partnering with Spanish travel agency consortium Avasa Travel Group to provide NDC content to the group's member agencies, the companies announced.
The partnership will allow Avasa agencies, which include specialists in both business and leisure travel, to access NDC content and avoid carrier-imposed surcharges for global distribution system bookings, according to AirGateway. The Berlin-based AirGateway reports direct connections to more than 30 airlines.
Spain is one of AirGateway's "main markets," according to AirGateway CEO Jorge Díaz. "Through this partnership with Avasa, which represents the largest consortium of independent travel agencies in the country, we aim to empower more agencies with access to NDC content and increase its adoption in the mentioned region."
