Technology and communications giant Cisco Systems' 2025 U.S.-booked air spending increased 42 percent compared with 2024, and the company is projected to spend even more in 2026.
Cisco's travel department has leaned heavily into AI and uses the technology for traveler servicing, virtual agents and a chatbot. Goals for the next 12 months include launching a new spend analytics tool combining travel, expense and card data mapped to the business hierarchy and delivering a self-service offering which will have an agentic agent, and to replace legacy workflows with agentic AI workflows.
Since August 2025, Cisco has acquired Aura Asset Intelligence, NeuralFabric, EzDubs, Galileo Technologies and Astrix Security.
Cisco in its 2026 fiscal year, which ended July 25, 2026, reported $63.3 billion in revenue, a 12 percent increase year over year. It also had about 82,400 employees worldwide on that date, down from 86,200 reported a year prior.
